After twenty top-selling CDs & DVDs, fifteen awards in leading Music Awards categories and two films, Sakis Rouvas is undoubtedly the ultimate pop star in Greece with great international appeal.

Sakis Rouvas was born in Corfu. Since 1996, he has the largest fan club, with thousands of members from all parts of the world.
In 1997, Sakis along with Turkish Burak Kut threw a binational concert on the Green Line in Cyprus, for which he won the Ipekci International Award for Understanding and Cooperation.
In 2002, Sakis released his album in France, followed by an unforgettable concert in the legendary Olympia!
In the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest, Sakis with “Shake It” gets the third place, but everyone considers him as a winner too thanks to his striking performance.
He performs at the Closing Ceremony in the Olympic Games in Athens. He also records a duet with Philip Kirkorov in Greek and Russian becoming a huge hit and appeared as a guest in three international concerts given by the leading Greek artist Nana Mouskouri, impressing the audience and critics.
In 2005, Sakis won the World Music Award for World's Best-Selling Greek Artist.
In 2006, Sakis and Maria Menounos were the hosts of the Eurovision Song Contest, in Athens. Everyone is talking about his flawless presentation and his remarkable singing performances.

ΒΙΟΓΡΑΦΙΑ:Γεννημένος στις 5 Ιανουαρίου 1972 στη Κέρκυρα, ο Αναστάσιος Ρουβάς ή αλλιώς ο Σάκης, δε φανταζόταν ποτέ ότι πρόκειται να γίνει το απόλυτο pop είδωλο της ελληνικής μουσικής βιομηχανίας. Ξεκίνησε ως αθλητής της ενόργανης γυμναστικής με σημαντικές διακρίσεις, ωστόσο τον κέρδισε τελικά η μουσική και το τραγούδι. Ο Σάκης κάνει την πρώτη επαγγελματική του εμφάνιση στην Αθήνα, το 1991 στο Show Center και εκεί τον ανακαλύπτει η Polygram,προσφέροντάς του το πρώτο δισκογραφικό
συμβόλαιο. Μερικούς μήνες μετά κερδίζει το πρώτο βραβείο στο Φεστιβάλ Τραγουδιού Θεσσαλονικής για το κομμάτι "Πάρτα"

Alexander Rybak was born in Minsk (Belarus) on the 13th of May, 1986. He grew up at Nesodden just outside the Norwegian capital Oslo.
Alexander has played violin and piano since he was five years old, he also composes his own music and sings. Alexander has performed with artists like Arve Tellefsen, Morten Harket, Hanne Krogh and Knutsen & Ludvigsen.
In 2006 he won the Norwegian talentshow Kjempesjansen with his own song Foolin. Alexander has performed with one of the world's most celebrated violinists, Pinchas Zukerman, he has won Anders Jahres Culture Price and he’s been the concertmaster for Norway’s largest symphony orchestra for youths, Ung Symfoni, in Bergen.
He also played the role of the fiddler in Fiddler On The Roof at Oslo Nye Theatre (2007) and has a role in the forthcoming movie Yohan - Child Wanderer (August 2009).

Hadise Biography
Early life and career debut
Hadise was born in the town of Mol, near Antwerp in Belgium on 22 October 1985. Her parents are of Circassian descent[2] and came from Sivas, Turkey and migrated to Belgium where they settled in the town of Mol. Hadise has two sisters and one brother; Hadise's name (meaning 'incident' with overtones of 'stir') was her grandfather's idea and was actually intended for Hadise's older sister.
From an early age Hadise knew that she wanted to pursue a career in music, and although she has been a professional singer since the age of 16, she still continued her education and thus gained a BA in Marketing. She speaks several languages; Dutch, Turkish, English, French and German included.
Hadise rose to fame in 2003 when she entered the Flemish version of Pop Idol, at the age of 17. She was offered a record contract after her performance on the show, in recognition of her talent.
2005-2006: Sweat
Soon after her appearance on Idool 2003, Hadise received a call from the manager of 2Brain records, Johan Hendrickx, who was impressed with her performance on the show and he offered her an album contract. Hadise's debut single "Sweat" which was released in November 2004 peaked at #19 on the Ultratop 50 singles chart. She later released the single Stir Me Up which gained popularity in both Turkey and Belgium. Hadise then released her single Milk Chocolate Girl, the biggest hit from her debut album, which peaked at #13 on the Ultratop 50. A year after releasing her debut single, in November 2005, Hadise released her debut album Sweat, on which she collaborated with Yves Gaillard.
Hadise presented "Popstars", which was a huge success for her as the programme attracted an average audience of twenty million viewers every week.
2008-present: Release of "Hadise"
Hadise began to work on her second studio album in December 2007. The album was recorded in many countries, including Belgium, France, Turkey and Italy. Hadise released the lead single, "A Good Kiss", in October 2007. This became her sixth consecutive single to chart on the Belgian "Ultratop 50". The song was also successful in Turkey, where it became her first single to chart on the "Turkish Billboard Chart". The song was later translated into Turkish by Sezen Aksu, becoming one of the most played songs in clubs in the summer of 2008.
She released two more singles in Belgium "My Body", which is her best-selling single in Belgium so far, and "My Man and the Devil on His Shoulder", her first single not making the Ultratop 50 chart.
In 2008, Hadise appeared on Serdar Ortaç's album Nefes on a track called "Düşman". In July 2008, Hadise revealed that she met Kevin Federline during her trip to the USA and told the media that he had produced some music for her to use on a future album. A new video has surfaced of Hadise telling Belgian viewers that her future album will include urban beats and some of the producers and choreographers have worked with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys and many more artists that are big in the game.
From October 2008, Hadise presented the Flemish version of X-factor[5].
Eurovision 2009
Although Hadise said in 2007 that she would never take part in the Eurovision Song Contest after her best friend Kate Ryan failed to qualify for the final, and because the Eurovion contestants in Belgium are chose through pre-selections, Hadise announced in 2008 she would like to take part in the contest representing Turkey and on October 24, 2008 Hadise was confirmed as the Turkish representative at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009. She had been the favourite to represent Turkey as she has won numerous online polls. In late October İbrahim Şahin, the general manager of Turkish broadcaster TRT announced that Hadise had won the poll held by TRT to determine the act to represent Turkey and they therefore had chosen Hadise.[6]
Selection
Hadise had complete control over the production of the song for the Eurovision Song Contest. She decided the lyricist, composer, producer and the language of the song- English and as revealed by the Turkish newspaper "Sabah", Hadise eventually presented three songs to TRT, which then chose the entry internally.[8]
Hadise told Belgian newspapers she wanted to represent Turkey instead of Belgium because she has already won many Belgian awards and also because the Eurovision Song Contest isn't popular in Belgium anymore, whereas it is in Turkey.[9] She also said that she prefered to represent Turkey as it was an internal selection rather than a public voting.
There were rumors that Hadise chose to represent Turkey rather than Belgium, because of a secret financial deal. On December 31, 2008 the song was revealed to be Düm Tek Tek.
Promotional Tour
At the start of February 2009 Hadise began travelling Europe as part of her promotional tour for Eurovision. The tour began on February 5 in Malta,[11] and will continue until the May 5, a week prior to the first Eurovision semi-final takes place in Moscow.
Television career
In 2006 Hadise presented Turkiye Popstar, a programme with twenty million viewers a week.
In 2008-2009 she got a job as a presenter for the first time in her birth country Belgium. She was the presenter of the second season of X Factor (Belgium) at Vtm. Although it was her first television job in Belgium, Hadise garnered much praise. She handled a critical moment where one of the judges left the contest during live television. Hadise was also praised by the candidats of X Factor for guiding them.
Acting career
Hadise has rejected two offers to star in a film. One of the parts was the leading role in a Turkish movie. Not much is known about this film, apart from the fact that the film supposedly focused on 2 sisters, one of whom was to be played by Hadise.
In July 2008 Hadise was again offered a role in a Turkish comedy film. Although she turned down the two previous offers, she is still considering the part and it has been suggested she may take the offer as she is interested in the part and is currently reading through the script.
Personal life
Hadise is known for being in strict secrecy about her personal life, especially about her romantic relationships. This is a result of her growing up with Turkish traditions and caring about family. Has been named "a loyal girlfriend" by several magazines, Hadise never went public with any of her relationships.
Philanthropy
Hadise, along with many other artists, performed for a Cancer research concert in Belgium. Hadise was the opening act for the event and the concert ended up raising 1.6 million Euros.

Products and endorsements
It was announced that Hadise signed with 'Yedigun', a Turkish Soda company, for a promotional deal, which includes her having to feature on TV commercials, on Billboard pictures and a take part in a summer tour.
Controversy
Several criticism surfaced about Hadise's racy image, leading the artist to say that "Some Turks think it is great, but others find it over the top".
Hadise was later criticised for her music video "Deli Oğlan", prior to its release. Images of Hadise with a male model were leaked online and some Turkish media condemned the video as too erotic. Hadise later removed these scenes from the video because of an disagreement with the male model. Hadise was asked in an interview on the "MTV Türkiye" show 'BeniMTV' (My MTV), about her feelings on the response to the video images, but refused to comment.
Hadise Eurovision preview music video leaked on the net Dum Tek Tek. Some visuals show hadise in mini-shorts and her usual sexy image, the video was labelled as being too erotic just like her Deli Oğlan music video. But unlike the Deli Oğlan the video for Dum Tek Tek was leaked and many viewed the images as being sexual and explict.
Some news appeared in Turkish media claiming that TRT declined to air the video clip as it had "images that are too sexual" in it. The manager of Hadise, Süheyl Atay refused the claims of the media.
"TRT has no attitudes or enforcements restricting the productivity of the artist like it has never had up to now. The claims appearing on the Turkish press since 22nd March 2009 do not reflect the reality." Atay said that the montage process of the clip is still going on and the clip asserted to be the official one is only one of the 3 clip samples being delivered to TRT. "As can be understood from the quality of the images, that clip is not the final official version of the video clip. The process is going on, and the real clip will be made public by TRT as soon as possible." said Süheyl Atak.

Hadise has said she admires artists such as Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey. Hadise's songs have also been influenced by Turkish music, which came across in her music making her a rather unique artist, as she fuses R&B and Turkish pop. Examples of songs by her combining a strong Turkish slant with an Urban feel include Stir Me Up, Bad Boy, A Good Kiss and "Don't Ask".

Hadise - Χαντισε ΒΙΟΓΡΑΦΙΑ:
Η Hadise, που έχει επιλεχθεί να εκπροσωπήσει φέτος τη Τουρκία στη Eurovision, γεννήθηκε πριν από 24 χρόνια στο Βέλγιο από Τούρκους γονείς. Παρά το γεγονός ότι από μικρή ήθελε να ασχοληθεί με το τραγούδι και τη μουσική γενικότερα, η Hadise σπούδασε Marketing. Με το τραγούδι ασχολείται επαγγελματικά από τα 17 της, δηλαδή από τότε που συμμετείχε στο Βέλγικο Pop Idol. Το γεγονός ότι δεν κατάφερε να διακριθεί στον Τελικό δεν πτόησε τη νεαρή τραγουδίστρια καθώς είχε προσφορά συμβολαίου από δισκογραφική εταιρία από το πρώτο live του παιχνιδιού! To 2005 κυκλοφόρησε σε Βέλγιο και Τουρκία το πρώτο της ολοκληρωμένο album με τίτλο "Sweet" το οποίο περιείχε τις επιτυχίες "Stir me up", "Sweat", "Bad boy", "Milk Chocolate girl" και "Ain't no love lost". Κατά τη διάρκεια του promotion του album της στη Τουρκία, η νεαρή τραγουδίστρια είχε την ευκαιρία να παρουσιάσει το Popstars μέσα από το οποίο γνώρισε μεγάλη επιτυχία στη πατρίδα της καθώς έγινε θέμα σε πολλά Τουρκικά περιοδικά! Το 2007 κυκλοφόρησε το νέο της single με τίτλο "A Good kiss" το οποίο είναι ίσως η μεγαλύτερή της επιτυχία μέχρι στιγμής. Το ίδιο κομμάτι μετάφράστηκε στα Τουρκικά από την Sezen Aksu γνωρίζοντας τεράστια επιτυχία! Τον Οκτώβριο του 2008 η Hadise παρουσίασε το Βελγικό X-Factor ενώ σ'ένα ταξίδι της στην Αμερική γνωρίστηκε με τον rapper Kevin Federline (γνωστό και ως πρώην σύζυγος της Britney Spears) ο οποίος υποσχέθηκε να τη βοηθήσει σε μερικά κομμάτια για το επόμενό της album!
Το 2006 είχε δηλώσει ότι δεν θα επιθυμούσε ποτέ να συμμετάσχει στη Eurovision λόγω του αποκλεισμού του Βελγίου και της φίλης της Kate Ryan από τον Τελικό του διαγωνισμού. Ωστόσο το 2009 δέχτηκε να εκπροσωπήσει τη Τουρκία και μάλιστα είχε τη δυνατότητα να επιλέξει η ίδια το συνθέτη και το στιχουργό του τελικού τραγουδιού! Η Hadise σε ερωτήσεις τύπου "Γιατί εκπροσωπεί τη Τουρκία και όχι το Βέλγιο;" απαντά ότι εκτός του ότι η Τουρκία είναι πατρίδα της, πλέον η Eurovision δεν έχει τόσους θαυμαστές στο Βέλγιο όσο στη Τουρκία!! Το τραγούδι της χώρας ανακοινώθηκε την παραμονή της Πρωτοχρονιάς του 2009!

Σημείωση : Το 2009 το τουρκικό κρατικό τηλεοπτικό δίκτυο TRT, αν και ελέγχεται από την ισλαμική κυβέρνηση του Ερντογάν, την επέλεξε χωρίς διαγωνισμό ως εκπρόσωπο της Τουρκίας στον διαγωνισμό τραγουδιού της Eurovision με το τραγούδι Dum Tek Tek. Η Hadise θα είναι η πρώτη καλλιτέχνης που θα εκπροσωπήσει την χώρα χωρίς να είναι γεννημένη στην Τουρκία.
